JEWELLERY SCHOOLHappiness is not the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort. Teaching was something I would have never, ever considered but I started teaching yoga a few years ago at the suggestion of my Swami, Yogasagar. It give me the confidence and above all, patience to open the jewellery school and start teaching goldsmith techniques to students. Watching people uncover their creativity in such a familiar medium is amazing and thrilling to watch. They in turn have taught me to relax and free up my own creativity with regards to the forms a piece of jewellery can take. The students source their ideas from the web, magazines, books and their own imagination. I have a great workshop which has six fully equipped benches. All the tools are supplied and we work mainly in silver which is additional but very inexpensive and a lovely metal to work with. Currently the class times are: Tuesdays 9am - 1pm. Wednesday 9am - 1pm. Alternate Saturdays 9am - 4pm. The lessons are lots of fun with great fellow students and a relaxed approach to playing with your creativity. Come and try a lesson to see if it appeals to you. Singular class (four hours) R400-00 with a R150-00 deposit required. Saturday class (seven hours) R1150-00 for two lessons..
